1 December 2011 - At a press conference held in Beijing on 30 November 2011, the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) announced that Sinotrans Ltd. had become its official supplier of logistics service for the period of 2011-2015. Attending the signing ceremony of the COC-Sinotrans Cooperation Agreement yesterday were Ma Jilong, Director of the Sports Equipment Administrative Center under the General Administration of Sport of China and Head of the COC Marketing Department, Zhang Jianwei, President of the Sinotrans Ltd., and representatives from over 50 media organizations.

According to the agreement, Sinotrans will provide overall logistics service to the Chinese sports delegations to the London 2012 Olympic Summer Games and Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games as well over 10 international multi-sport meets.

With its rich experience and global service network, Sinotrans, a leading logistics company in China, has shown its comprehensive capability to provide integrated logistics and transportation services for many large-scale international conventions, art exhibition tours and sporting events, including such major world tournaments as the 1990 Beijing Asian Games, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games and 2011 Shenzhen World University Games. As the official supplier of the COC, said President of Sinotrans Zhang Jianwei, his company aims to invest more in logistics service for sporting events and make greater contribution to further development of the Olympic cause in China.

"As a plenipotentiary of the Olympic Movement in China," said COC Director of Marketing Ma Jilong at the signing ceremony, "the Chinese Olympic Committee is dedicated to spreading the Olympic spirit and promoting the Olympic movement and sports development in this country, and nothing could be achieved without the active involvement and energetic support of a large number of top enterprises in different fields." Logistics service, he added, is one of the most important links for Chinese sports delegations participating in big international tournaments, so he hoped the two sides would work closely in the coming years and keep encouraging each other to achieve a win-win ending.
