15 October 2014, Beijing - At the invitation of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC), the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) will send a 26-member wushu delegation led by Gao Xiaojun, President of the Chinese Wushu Association, to Taiwan for exchanges on traditional Chinese martial arts on 15-21 October 2014. This is another sports exchange program jointly delivered by the two Olympic committees in recent years.

As a gem of the traditional Chinese culture treasured by all Chinese people across the world, wushu enjoys tremendous popularity among people of all ages on both sides of the Taiwan Straits. During their visit, members of the delegation, who are either successful wushu athletes or accomplished martial artists, will give two joint shows in Taipei and Taichung together with their Taiwanese counterparts, and then join local wushu athletes and fans in some exchange activities in Yilan and Changhua.
