21 Aug 2011, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: The 2nd Olympic Council of Malaysia Executive Board meeting for the session 2011-2013 was held on August 16 at the OCM Boardroom, Mezzanine Floor, Wisma OCM, Kuala Lumpur. The Executive Board congratulated HRH Tunku Imran, President of OCM, on being the sole nominee for the post of President of the Commonwealth Games Federation.

This means that HRH Tunku Imran will be formally confirmed as President at the CGF General Assembly on November 11, 2011, at St. Kitts & Nevis. The Executive Board also decided to bid to host the 127th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur in 2015, subject to the approval of the Government.

In January 2010, at the 122nd IOC Session in Vancouver, OCM made an unsuccessful bid to host the 125th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur.

The decision on the host of the 127th IOC Session will be made at the 124th IOC Session in London during the 2012 Olympic Games.

The Board also noted that the OCM Trust Fund Management Committee had disbursed grants of RM10,000 each to Taekwondo Malaysia, Table Tennis Association of Malaysia and the Malaysian DanceSports Berhad.
