Du Feng damps Bayi's CBA title hopes

NINGBO, East China, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Forward Du Feng scored 14 out of his game-high 29 points in the fourth quarter as the Guangdong Hongyuan pulled off an 86-81 victory over Bayi Rockets here on Saturday.
Game 4 of the Chinese Basketball Association(CBA) Finals will be played on Sunday here with Guangdong only one victory away for its third consecutive championship.
Entering the decisive quarter by leading 61-60, Du chipped in three 3-pointers to give the visitors a 78-68 lead midway of the period for good.
"We failed to make some changes in the fourth quarter and gave Du chances to score shots, but we played a really good defensive game tonight,"said Adijiang, head coach of the Rockets.
The Hongyuan could miss its pivot Yi Jianlian in the next game as the center injured his knee at the start of the fourth quarter and never came back after limping off the court.
Center Mo Ke led the Rockets with 20 points with point guard Wang Zhongguang contributing 16 points and five assists.
Yi¡¯s jumper beat the buzzer of the first quarter to give the Hongyuan a 23-21 lead but neither team could manage a double-digital lead prior to Du¡¯s scoring run.
