BERLIN, April 27 (Xinhua) -- German soccer chief said Friday that they wouldn't bid for the 2020 European Championships.
The German Football Federation (DFB) recently said it was considering making a bid, but a board meeting on Friday denied the bid.
The DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach announced it, while saying the idea of hosting a grand European soccer event, though, is exciting.
"After we hosted the 2006 and the 2011 (women's) World Cups, other nations have the right to play host," said Niersbach.
Poland and Ukraine will co-host the Euro 2012 in June, and four years later, France will host the next edition.
