YANGON, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar will host the 33rd Asia Pacific Junior Golf championship 2012 in Yangon next month, said the Myanmar Golf Federation (MGF) on Monday.

Golfers from twelve countries and regions -- Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong of China, Inida, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan and Guam -- will participate in the tourney slated for May 15 to 18.

The championship will be categorized as U-10, U-12, U-14 and U-17 events.

Myanmar has over 100 golf clubs and resorts of international standard with a great number of amateur golfers, according to the MGF.
