China's Jin Boyang qualifies for ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final

BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Two-time world bronze medalists Jin Boyang of China secured the last spot for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final.

According to the ISU, the top six qualifiers of the Grand Prix series in each discipline will proceed to the Final in Turin, Italy from December 5 to 8. The NHK Trophy in Japan is the sixth and last stop of the series and concluded its competition late Saturday.

Jin collected 20 points and ranked sixth in the GP standings by his gold medal in Cup of China (15 points) and sixth place (5 points) in Skate America, booking the last ticket to the Final.

Japan's star skater Yuzuru Hanyu ranked first after he triumphed by huge margin on home ice on Saturday. Hanyu also won the Skate Canada.

Reigning world champion Nathan Chen stood second with Skate America and Internationaux de France titles.

Russian skater Alexander Samarin and Dmitri Aliev came third and forth, while French skater Kevin Aymoz was fifth after taking a silver on Saturday.

China's figure skating pairs Sui Wenjing/Han Cong and Peng Cheng/Jin Yang also entered the Final. Sui/Han topped the standings after winning the NHK Trophy Saturday. They were also the champions at Cup of China. Peng/Jin ranked third with a gold at Skate America and a silver at Cup of China.
