IFNA / Netball The IFNA has chosen Gilbert as the Official Supplier and exclusive ball for use in all its events, including the senior and youth World Championships in 2005 and 2007.
IHF / Handball At its meeting in Budapest (HUN) from 19 to 21 August, the IHF Council decided to award the organisation of the 2007 WomenĄŻs World Championships to France. The other candidate, China, has submitted an application for the 2009 edition, together with Denmark. Candidates have until 1 November 2005 to submit their applications. Croatia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Greece, Romania and South Africa have applied for the hosting of the 2009 MenĄŻs World Championship. The Council will decide on the awarding of the 2009 MenĄŻs and WomenĄŻs World Championship at its next meeting to be held from 9 to 12 March 2006.
IPC / Paralympic A total of 32 nominations have been put forward for the IPC Governing Board, which will be elected on 19 November in Beijing (CHN) during the 2005 IPC General Assembly. These will be the first elections to the Governing Board, which replaced the IPC Executive Committee last year in November. The Governing Board will consist of 1 President, 1 Vice-President and 10 Members at Large, all of whom will be elected in Beijing. Furthermore, an AthletesĄŻ Representative and the IPC Chief Executive Officer will be ex-officio members of the GB.
