A mini-Bird's Nest catches eyes of journalists.
 On-site news coverage
(BEIJING, April 19) -- The main Olympic competition venues caught the eyes of the Chinese journalists covering the preparatory work for the 2008 Olympic Games on Wednesday.
At the construction site of the National Stadium, dubbed the Bird’s Nest, the National Aquatics Center or the "Water Cube", the National Indoor Stadium and the Olympic Village, the cameramen were busy shooting while the writers vied with one another to inquire about the architectural design and post-Games use of the projects as well as how the builders resolved the technical problems.
Officials of the Beijing 2008 Project Construction Headquarters Office and the owners of different properties answered the questions in detail.
On the same day, the press group also toured the China Disabled Persons Olympic Sports Center and Beijing Shishahai Spare-time Sports School.
