In the summer of 2008, when you come to the National Indoor Stadium to watch competitions in gymnastics, trampoline, handball and wheelchair basketball, you will be greeted with fresh and cool natural air out of the ventilation duct under your seat.

The National Indoor Stadium is located in the south of the central area of the Olympic Park, next to the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube under construction. At present, the project has entered the stage of interior decoration. The venue will be completed and put into use this October. A series of test events named “Good Luck Beijing” to be held in November will be the first rehearsal to check out the National Indoor Stadium.

The National Indoor Stadium complex is mainly composed of a main stadium building, a warm-up hall and its outdoor surrounding. It covers an area of 6.87 hectares and a total floor space of 80,900 square meters with a seating capacity of 18,000. After the Olympic Games, as a first-rate sports facility in Beijing, the National Indoor Stadium will become a multifunctional complex for local people's sports competitions and cultural entertainment.
