(BEIJING, July 16) -- Beijing Shooting Range Hall, among the 31 Beijing-based venues of the 2008 Olympic Games, is under acceptance check.

The check came three years after its construction began on July 13, 2004 and it is the first acceptance check among the 12 venues to be built from scratch.

Located at Shijingshan District in west Beijing, the shooting hall has a total land surface of 45,645 sq meters and a capacity of 2,300 seats, plus the equal number of temporary seats.

It will host the qualifications and finals of 11 shooting events, consisting of all 10-meter, 25-meter, and 50-meter range shooting competitions. The entire shooting sports of the 2008 Paralympic Games will also be held in the venue.

Commenting on the parts checked, the panel experts said they are suitable for the high-level shooting events.
