(BEIJING, January 20) -- The Argentine men's national football team head coach, Sergio Batista, said Friday that playmaker Juan Roman Riguelme, midfielder Javier Mascherano and defender Martin Demichelis will join the team as three over-age players to Beijing, according to FIFA official website.
The three shinning stars -- Riguelme, who now plays at Boca Juniors; Liverpool's Javier Mascherano; and Bayern Munich defender Martin Demichelis -- will help the defending champion Argentina keep the honors in the Beijing Olympics, said the coach.
Tournament rules allow three players over the age of 23 to be included on each nation team for the Olympic football tournament from August 8 to 24 in China.
