Minimums, maximums of badminton players at Beijing Olympic Games

BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) -- A total of 173 players from a record 50 teams are expected to compete in the badminton tournament at the upcoming Beijing Olympics. Following are minimums and maximums of the players:

Among the men, the oldest is Jens Dyrloev Eriksen from Denmark, who was born on December 30, 1969; the youngest is Yongdae Lee from South Korea, born on September 11, 1988.

Among the women, the oldest is Michelle Edwards from Russia, born on July 11, 1974; the youngest is Deyanira Angulo from Mexico, born on March 3, 1991.

The tallest man is Craig Cooper from New Zealand, at 1.95 meters, and the shortest Markis Kido from Indonesia, at 1.65 meters.

The tallest woman is Kamilla Rytter Juhl from Denmark, at 1.83 meters, and the shortest ones are Juliette Ah-Wan from Seychelles and Michelle Edwards from Russia, who is also the youngest woman player, both at 1.55 meters.
