SOFIA, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Bulgarian shooter Antoaneta Boneva has tested positive for cocaine and will be disqualified from the Olympic team, said the Bulgarian Olympic Committee on Tuesday.

"Boneva was checked in May at a competition in Italy and the tests were made in the Italian doping laboratory," the committee said in a statement, "She drops out of the Olympics in Beijing."

Boneva, 22, was due to compete in the 25m rapid fire pistol competition in the Olympics in August.
