2009-06-26 09:43 WADA

LAUSANNE (SUI), FIG Office, June 25, 2009: By June 30, elite gymnasts and federations from any of the FIG’s 6 competitive disciplines listed on the RTP FIG (Registered Testing Pool) list will need to have filled out their localisation forms, providing information as to the whereabouts of the athletes during the months of July, August and September, for the World Anti-doping Agency and the ADAMS programme.

A daily 60-minute time slot falling between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm must be indicated, during which time said gymnasts must be available for testing at a specified location.

All gymnasts concerned should be aware that a lack of or inaccurate whereabouts information leading to his or her absence from the specified testing location is considered a violation of the FIG Anti-doping Rules and may result in a 1 or 2 year suspension period and a fine imposed on the offending federation.

The whereabouts procedure targets FIG elite gymnasts participating in international events in any one of the Federation’s 6 competitive disciplines. These gymnasts have been listed on the RTP following specific criteria available on the Internet, based primarily on their results. 191 top gymnasts currently figure on the FIG RTP list.
