KINGSTON, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- A panel has cleared the name of four Jamaican athletes, who were recently involved in doping sandals, after a hearing on Monday.

Yohan Blake, Allodin Fothergill, Lansford Spence and Marvin Anderson had been tested positive for a stimulant at June's national championships.

The tribunal hearing over their cases, however, decided Monday that the stimulant methylxanthine found in their test samples was not on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) list of prohibited substances.

"Therefore the athletes were not liable under the WADA code," said Kent Gammon, chairman of the disciplinary committee of the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission.

The world athletics championships begin in Berlin on Aug. 15.
