September 22, 2010 - On September 17, WADA received a Runner-Up Award in the “Business/Professional E-Learning” from the International E-Learning Association (IELA) for CoachTrue, the Agency’s computer-based anti-doping learning tool for coaches.
CoachTrue, available at no cost to stakeholders, covers a wide range of anti-doping activities and topics in order to cater to the various learning styles and demanding schedules of coaches. It contains separate platforms for coaches of elite-level athletes and coaches of young or recreational-level athletes.
An evolution of the Coach’s Tool Kit, which assists stakeholders in the facilitation of a face-to-face workshop for coaches, CoachTrue is intended to assist anti-doping organizations, coaching associations and universities in providing anti-doping education to coaches. It was developed by WADA in cooperation with Web Courseworks.
IELA is a community of e-learning professionals, researchers, and students. It is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and practice of e-learning in the classroom and the workplace.
