"China is such an important country. It is the big country in the world. It's so important what the big countries do for the smaller countries to follow suit," said the Swede, who was one of the founders of the world anti-doping cause.

"So China has particular responsibilities as a major country to do serious work against doping that they do and they are doing even more."

"China can be a leading country. It is a leading country," he added.

Ljungqvist, president of the IOC Medical Commission and vice-president of World Anti-doping Agency (WADA), attended the launching ceremony of the

The book is about the 40 years of anti-doping history Ljungqvist lived through.
