TOKYO, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Japanese Greco-Roman wrestling champion Katsuya Kitamura has been banned for two years after testing positive for a muscle-building anabolic steroid, the Japan Wrestling Federation said Monday.
Kitamura, 25, tested positive for drostanolone in two tests after winning in the 96-kilogram category at a national competition on April 29 and will be stripped of the title, the federation said.
He has represented Japan at two world championships, without winning a medal.
