WASHINGTON, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Wayne Odesnik lost his first ATP main-draw match since his one-year ban for bringing human growth hormone (HGH) to Australia.

Czech Radek Stepanek beat the 25-year-old South African-born American 6-1, 6-1.

Odesnik, arrested in January 2010 in Brisbane with eight vials of HGH, pleaded guilty to bringing the banned substance into Australia but denied taking HGH.

Odesnik was banned for two years in May 2010 and lost all ranking points after reaching a career-high 77th.

The International Tennis Federation later cut Odesnik's ban to one year for his cooperation in the anti-doping program.
