September 9, 2011 - WADA has officially released Guidelines for the Reporting and Management of human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (hCG) Findings.

The guidelines have been developed to ensure a harmonized approach in the reporting and management of elevated concentrations of hCG. The document provides direction on laboratory testing strategy for determination of hCG in urine, the reporting of analytical findings and the management of results.

Furthermore, it constitutes a complementary document to the International Standard for Laboratories and takes effect immediately.

Drafting was carried out by the WADA Working Group on hCG/LH, which includes international experts in the fields of hCG and anti-doping testing.

The final version has been reviewed and approved for publication by the WADA Laboratory Expert Group.
