November 28, 2011 - WADA has launched a two-year review process for the World Anti-Doping Code that will reach a conclusion at the World Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa in Nov. 2013.
The Code Review Process involves three stages of consultation with all WADA stakeholders, who have been asked to lodge their first submissions by March 15, 2012.
To assist the consultation process, WADA has introduced a new online tool called WADAConnect, where all signatories will be able to register submissions directly.
The consultation process will be managed by an expert drafting team, composed in the same way as when the Code was last reviewed in 2006.
WADA’s Executive Committee and Foundation Board will be asked to review and give approvals at various stages of the process.
The Code is the document recognized by all WADA signatories that allows harmonization of rules and practices in the fight against doping in sport.
