CHANGCHUN, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- A total of 320 doping tests will be carried out the 12th Chinese National Winter Games, up from 224 at the previous edition, a senior sports official said here on Tuesday.
"We would be doing a total of 320 doping tests including 20 blood tests at these winter games," said Jiang Zhixue, anti-doping chief in China's State General Administration of Sport.
"We will save no effort in the anti-doping battle and hopefully it will be a clean games," he added.
According to Jiang, none of the tests conducted prior to the event turned positive results.
The Chinese National Winter Games, which are held every four years, will raise its curtain here Tuesday evening and run through Jan.13. A total of 1,067 athletes from around the country will vie for 115 gold medals in five sports.
