RIO DE JANEIRO, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian swimmer Glauber Silva was suspended for two years Wednesday for doping.
The swimmer qualified for the men's 100-meter butterfly at the London Games, but has lost his spot for the Games after testing positive for increased levels of testosterone.
Silva tested positive during a qualifying competition in May at Rio de Janeiro, where he earned his Olympic spot, said the Brazilian swimming confederation.
Two other Brazilian swimmers also were suspended for doping on Wednesday.
Flavia Delaroli was banned for three months for testing positive for the substance tuaminoheptane, while Pamela Alencar was suspended for six months for testing positive for the diuretic furosemide.
