Bahrain NOC expert addresses anti-doping symposium

10 May 2013, Manama, Bahrain: Bahrain Olympic Committee’s Anti-Doping Committee Chairman, Dr Hussain Al Haddad, attended the International Anti-Doping Symposium organised by the Anti-Doping Lab Qatar and Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum in Doha. Dr Al Haddad, along with other high-profile experts on doping and anti-doping, spoke at the symposium on “The History of Doping and Anti-Doping” in the Auditorium of the Museum of Islamic Art on May 6 and 7.

He said the symposium explored the historical, cultural and scientific aspects of doping. It also looked at the establishment of anti-doping institutions and programmes, including a special focus on the Gulf Region and the Anti-Doping Lab Qatar. The symposium complements the exhibition “Olympics – Past and Present'”, which will be open until June 30 at Al Riwaq Doha exhibition space.
