June 9, 2014 - Seven of the Central Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization’s (RADOCA) eight member countries participated in a recent two-day event in Almaty, Kazakhstan that included a Results Management Training video workshop organized by UKAD, followed by a RADOCA Board Meeting.

The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Sports and Physical Training Affairs hosted the sessions, which resulted in a number of outcomes including: the development of RADOCA’s Operational Plan; agreement on an anti-doping rules revision plan to ensure compliance with the 2015 World Anti-Doping Code; renewed commitment to continue implementation of education and testing activities throughout the Central Asia region; and further enhancement of the RADOCA Results Management Committee through participation in the UKAD training workshop.

“RADOCA exemplifies how collaboration, strategic planning, education and training can contribute to successful anti-doping programs,” said WADA Director General David Howman.

“The meeting was important for a number of reasons, but with the introduction of the revised World Anti-Doping Code imminent, it proved beneficial for the participant organizations to meet and discuss the main areas of change.”

RADOCA Board Members expressed their appreciation to the Government of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan National Olympic Committee, which continue to support anti-doping activities in the region, including hosting the RADOCA Office in Almaty.

The meeting took place from 22-23 May.
