The quarter-final stage at the 2003 VOLKSWAGEN Women's World Cup provided matches of a very high standard from all eight players.

    World Champion Wang Nan  beat Tie Yana by 4 - 1, followed by Niu Jianfeng winning the match against Chinese Hong Kong's Liu Xufei by 4 - 2,  Zhang Yining defeating Korea's Kim Kyung Ah by 4 - 2.

    All three world top players advanced to the semi-finals to be held at 19:00 on 19 December local time in Hong Kong.
