On 31, August - Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, and Chen Zhili, State councillor, on behalf of the Central Committee of the  CPC and the State Council, appeared at the international airport to deliver their warm welcome and the compliment on China's athletes' excellent performance at the Athens 2004.
