Guo Xinxin wins women's aerials World Cup

    At the 2005 Freestyle FIS World Cup aerials held in Shenyang, China's northern Heilongjiang Province on February 5, China's Guo Xinxin and American Jeret Peterson won the women's and men's aerials titles with 192.99 points and 247.63 points respectively.

    In the men's final, half of the 12 competitors committed errors in their difficult routines, which helped Chinese Han Xiaopeng to finish third on the Baiqingzai Course with 232.40pts. Canadian Steve Omischl took the second place with 242.52pts.

    Guo Xinxin became the lone woman jumper to execute two successive jumps with three turns. Her teammate Li Nina was second with 187.61, edging out Lydia Ierodiaconou of Australia who was third with 187.25.
