Chinese star hurdler Liu Xiang is recuperating very well after a foot surgery 10 days ago, his coach Sun Haiping said after the Olympic gold medalist returned to a US hospital for consultation. Liu will continue to stay in Houston for a few months till he fully recovers. With a lot of time on his hands even as he recovers from the surgery, Liu also plans to learn English during his stay in the US.

Liu is expected to throw away crutches in two or three weeks.
