July 18, 2009 - China dominated the first day of diving at the 2009 FINA World Championships held in Rome, with Qin Kai and Zhang Xinhua finishing one-two in the men's 1m springboard event, while Chen Ruolin leading in the women's 10m platform preliminaries with 388.65 points and Kang Li (342.40) qualifying for the first three.
