(Beijing, February 27) By clocking 41.443 China's Han Jialiang failed to make the group top two in the men's short track speed skating 500m quarterfinals on February 26. With Han's disqualification all three Chinese skaters were shut out of the 500m semifinals. As a result of the final held later in the day, Charles Hamelin of Canada and Sung Si-Bak of Korea placed first and second respectively.
