(April 21, Beijing) To extend sincere condolences over the quake victims in quake-stricken Yushu area in China's northwestern Qinghai Province, a donation ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Administration of Sport of China (GASC) on April 21, 2010. The 7.1-magnitude earthquake, which struck the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yushu on April 14, had cost lives of thousands of local people.

Prior to the donation ceremony, as of April 19, as much as 10.1 million yuan was donated by 27 sports organizations under the GASC.
