21 September 2011, Beijing - China's Su Donghao was named an ambassador of the First Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2012. An official ceremony was held on 19 Sepetember in Beijing, where Song Luzeng, Secretary-General of the Chinese Olympic Committee, presented Su Donghao with the letter of appointment signed by Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee, and an IOC certificate for YOG ambassadors.

According to the selection standards set by the IOC, Su Donghao, recommended by the Chinese Olympic Committee, was appointed by the IOC to be one of the ambassadors for the inaugural Winter Youth Olympic Games slated to be held in Innsbruck, Austria on January 13-22, 2012.
