16 July 2012, Beijing - The press conference for the 2nd International Minority nationalities Traditional Archery Invitational Tournament and Dadun Cultural Festival was held in central Beijing's Great Hall of the People on 15 July 2012.

The International Ethnic Traditional Archery Invitational Tournament was inaugurated in 2010, with the approval of the General Administration of Sport of China. Dozens of teams, including those from Hungary, Korea, Japan, Iran, Turkey, Mexico, Mengolia, Tanzania, the United States, Romania, Slovakia as well as some 50 teams from across China, are expected to take part in the 2012 edition to be held in Maketang Town, Jianzha County of Huangnan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province on 7-11 September. The local organizers, with the support of all parties concerned, mean to make the event one of the four major international sports tournaments in Qinghai.
