21 May 2013 - One day before the 2013 IAAF World Challenge Beijing, on 20 May 2013, the Press Conference for the upcoming meet was held at the Chinese capital's National Stadium (Bird's Nest).

Attending the media briefing were US sprinter Allyson Felix, the IAAF Female Athlete of the Year in 2012 for her outstanding performance in the women's 200m at London Olympics, US 110m hurdler Jason Richardson, US men's 100m sprinter Justin Gatlin, Russian high jumper Anna Chicherova, and China's men's 100m national record holder Zhang Peimeng and men's long jumper Li Jinzhe.
