9 June 2013, Beijing - Sponsored by XDLONG Group, a sportwear and shoes manufacturer in China, the 2013 Fitness Tour of China was officially launched in Beijing on 8 June 2013.

Through this tour, according to Tu Xiaodong, President of the China Sports Publications Corporation, the organizers of the event, from June to November this year, a series of featured activities and sports events will be held in Beijing, Chengdu, Nanjing, Xiamen, Zhengzhou and other cities to help promote the National Fitness Program among people of all ages across the country.

Attending the launching ceremony were four Chinese Olympic champions, namely Gao Ling (women's badminton), Li Ting (women's diving), Xing Aowei and Teng Haibin (men's gymnastics), who joined the local residents in a song and dance performance as well as a youthful demonstration of aerobic gymnastics.
