12 January 2014, Beijing - Winners of China Central Television (CCTV) Sports Personality of the Year awards 2013 were announced in Beijing on 11 January 2014, with Lin Dan, badminton men's world champion, and Li Na, a super star on the tennis court, named the Best Male and Female Athletes of the Year respectively. 

The annual CCTV Sports Awards, recognized as the Chinese version of the Laureus World Sports Awards, is taken as the premier honors on the Chinese sporting calendar. (Photos China Sports Online/Ni Minzhe) 

Best Coach of the Year: Marcello Lippi (Italy)
 

Best Pair of the Year: Peng Shuai/Hsieh Su-Wei (women's doubles tennis).
Peng's father and Hsieh's mother receive the award on behalf of their daughters.
 

Best Team: Guangzhou Evergrande Football Team
 

Non-Olympic athlete of the year: Ding Junhui
 

Best Rookie: Li Jinzhe (Long Jump)
