On 21 August 2014, a group of IOC executives headed by President Thomas Bach watched live exhibition of taijiquan by professional wushu experts at the Nanjing 2014 Sports Lab. The lab, initiated by the IOC President himself, is an urban sport zone designed as part of the ‘learn and share’ program to showcase the four sports of sport climbing, roller sports, skateboarding and wushu. On 24 August 2014, some YOG athletes and coaches enjoyed a performance of traditional Beijing Opera, Kun Opera and acrobatics at Nanjing's Laomendong Jinling Theatre.
