HK Disneyland prepares for Olympic Day Run

17 May 2011, Hong Kong, China: The Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, is organising the 2011 Olympic Day Run on Sunday, June 26 in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Enrollment opened May 5 and closes June 7, with room for 6,000 participants.

Under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Day Run is an annual event organised by the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China. The coming 2011 ODR is also one of the celebration events of the SF&OC’s 60th anniversary.

In response to the IOC’s initiative, SF&OC will specially organise a sports carnival by combining the elements of a fun run, games booths, lucky draw, performances and sports demonstrations to encourage people from the community to implement the theme “Move, Learn and Discover”.

The route for 2011 ODR is around 5.6 km long. Participants will start from Disneyland Coach Park, running along Park Promenade, Waterfront Promenade, then turn at Sea Point Road towards Magic Road and finish at Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre.
