5 July 2012, Beijing - With the participation of some 1,200 athletes from over 60 countries and regions the 5th TAFISA World Sport for All Games will be held in Siauliai, Lithuania on 5-11 July 2012 presenting traditional games and sports (TSG) from all over the globe.
On 5 July, China sent a 35-member delegation headed by Vice Sports Minister Feng Jianzhong to the quadrennial Games, which will take part in competitions and demonstrations in such sports as health qigong, sports dance and model ship.
During these Games Feng Jianzhong, in his capacity of the TAFISA Vice President, will attend the TAFISA Executive Board Meeting as well as a number of international meetings including the International Scientific Conference on Human Health - Foundations of Sustainable Life, and the TAFISA/UNESCO Forum on the Role of Sports and Culture in Community Development. The week-long Games are also designed to highlight TSG and cultural events including the Folk Music Festivals, Exhibitions and Trade Fair, World Walking Day, World Nations Fair, Scientific Forum and Sport Gala performance.

Among the 48 traditional sports and games featured at Siauliai 2012, 24 are being developed in China. In 2008, Chinese athletes took part in the 4th TAFISA World Sport for All Games in Pusan, Korea, and competed in five sports, namely wushu, health qigong, goalball, E-sports and extreme sports.
