15th IOC World Conference on Sport for All

LAUSANNE, April5, 2013 - The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will hold its 15th World Conference on Sport for All from 24 to 27 April in Lima, Peru. Jointly organised with the Peruvian Olympic Committee, the Conference will focus on the practical implementation of sport for all programmes and will give the opportunity to sports and government representatives, athletes, United Nations agencies, NGOs and academics from around the world to share their experience and expertise.

Some of the speakers scheduled to attend the Conference are: IOC President Jacques Rogge, IOC Sport for All Commission Chairman Sam Ramsamy, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace Wilfried Lemke, WHO representative Timothy Armstrong, IOC Member in Peru Iván Dibós, Mayor of Miraflores Jorge Muñoz, Peruvian Sports Institute President Francisco Boza and Inter-American Development Bank President Luis Moreno.

The themes of the plenary sessions are:

- Sports facilities and public spaces
- Partnerships

The Sport for All Conference is organised every second year and is a key event in the calendar of the Olympic Movement.
